Month-old baby, Day-old blog

Hard to believe, but our little Harper is one month old today. At 8:54 p.m. ET on July 20, Daniel and I met the little munchkin who we'd dreamt about -- and who may have permanently bruised my right ribs with vigorous kicking -- for 9 (10) months. She was 20 inches long, 7 lbs 7 oz, blue-eyed, capped with dusty blonde hair, and the most beautiful thing we'd ever seen. And since we've decided to keep her, we wanted a way to keep friends and family posted as she and our family continue to grow. 

So today, as we celebrate her one-month birthday, we "birth" Ballard Station. We aim for this blog to be our one-stop place to post updates about what we're up to and to link together all the various places we have family updates online: Facebook, photo sites, video sites, etc. Since it's still difficult for me to find time to shower every day at this point (all moms out there can feel me!), I anticipate I won't be able to update it as much as I want to, but I will certainly do my best. After all, I clearly enjoy bragging on my DB and HB any chance I get!

So far we have some photos, videos and links on the site. More will come. We hope this provides all you out-of-town loved ones with more news, photos and videos than you could ever want!
