Urban family

The biggest downside of living in Washington is that we don't have any "real" family anywhere near us. At all. (When Aunt Wendy gets to Harrisburg, Penn., she'll be our closest! Can't wait for our surrogate grandma to be within 2.5 hours!) But we're so fortunate to have an extended urban family: the close friends we've picked up here over the past 7 years who serve as our in-town family ... and hopefully our free, family-style babysitters (wink wink). Here are some of the members of our fab urban family who've already had a chance to meet Harper and be caught on camera.
