Pancakes and toys

The DC Ballard family had our first grand family outing today with Harper! Our mission was breakfast and high-tech toys. We started with the family-friendly -- and Francis-family favorite -- IHOP. Harper of course woke up from her slumber right after the grownup food arrived, but we were able to tag-team feed her and eat, like we were pros rather than out at our first sit-down meal with a baby. Somehow Daniel and I both left with spitup all over our shirts and shorts despite multiple burp cloths ("note to self, add spare mom and dad shirts to the diaper bag"), but all things considered a very great morning!

Next stop was Best Buy to replace a pooped out DVD player and to purchase ... get ready for it ... a video camera! Harper necessitates a video camera, so we are now the proud owners of a Flip. You think I've been video crazy so far with only my iPhone video camera? Just you wait ...
